Playing Poker at the Casino for the First Time

Playing Poker at the Casino for the First Time
- by Chris Holdsworth

After you’ve been playing poker for a while, you will inevitably want to get your feet wet and head down to your local casino or card room. Along with this desire comes a certain level of anxiety or nervousness about going down to the brick and mortar for the first time.

This is perfectly normal!

But don’t worry! There really isn’t anything to fret about, as playing poker at the casino is one of the most fun forms of playing the game.

Despite my reassurances, however, I’m sure you still have some reservations about going, and are probably a bit worried about what to do when you get there, what stakes you should play, etc.

The good news is that this article should explain a lot of the questions you have about playing at the casino. After reading the following tips you will be ready for the live game, allowing you to relax and really do what you came to the casino for in the first place - to win money!

The first thing you’ll want to do upon arriving at the casino is to talk to the front desk area in the poker room and have them either assign you a table, or place you on a waiting list to be seated. You’ll have to decide what stakes you wish to play. Normally most casinos will have a low stakes limit game ($4-$8), a low stakes no limit game ($1-$2), and maybe some mid-high stakes games.

After you are assigned a table, the floor person will likely point you toward the cage to get some chips. I would recommend buying in for at least 20 big bets (so $160 for $4-$8) if you are going to play limit holdem. If you are going to play No Limit, then typically buying in for the maximum, or close to it is optimal.

Now that you have your chips, sit down - the fun is about to begin! Soon enough you will win your first hand… what a rush. There’s nothing like the feeling of winning a big pot and stacking up your chips.

One thing to remember in the casino though is to ALWAYS TIP THE DEALER! This is common courtesy just like tipping your server at a restaurant. Usually in low limit games I will give the dealer any $0.50 chips that they give me from making change for the rake. If I don’t get any chips that size, then I will generally tip a dollar. This is completely up to you though, and I would suggest anywhere from $0.50 to $2.00 is more than acceptable, although you may wish to tip more if you win a large pot.

As you play more and more at the casino, there is bound to be a time when you have a question about the way a hand was handled, or you feel that a mistake was made. Always keep your cool in these circumstances, and point it out to the dealer first. If they aren’t handling it to you satisfaction, call a floor person over - but ALWAYS give the dealer a chance to make things right. Dealers are people too, and no one likes it when someone goes over their heads. That said, if the dealer isn’t doing anything about your problem, certainly ask for a floor manager.

These quick tips should get you ready for your first trip to a live casino poker room.

But one more thing!

Remember the most important rule of all for going to the casino - Have Fun!

Using a Poker Calculator to Win Sit and Go Tournaments

Using a Poker Calculator to Win Sit and Go Tournaments
- by Marty Smith

You may know already that sit and go action is where a good, solid poker bankroll can be built. You get to choose your maximum risk, and play against a variety of talent giving you plenty of value for your buy-in, unfortunately, most poker calculators are not designed for sit and go poker. They calculate odds based on pot size, position, draws, and betting - but only for cash games. If you’re like me and play mostly sit and go poker, you have to make moves counter to your poker calculator recommendations to be in the money consistently. These situations will occur when you are short stacked, when you are playing against a maniac, when you are chip leader, when you are heads up, and when you are 3rd place of 3 left.

Hopefully you don’t end up short stacked too often (were you really playing correctly) and someone outdrew you on a bad call or two, but when you find yourself short, you MUST be strategizing to double up. The best way to double up is to get heads up with just one other player with a decent hand. Even if you are behind with KQos and get called with A9, you are in the right spot to double up, but not against more than one player. Your poker calculator will always say to fold KQos against a raise, but that’s when you go your own way and isolate the raiser. You are mostly trying to avoid being dominated here so I look at QJ, or pocket 8’s etc. and feel I am not a huge underdog and may even be slightly favored.

Sometimes you will be up against a maniac, or at least a very loose player and know you are probably ahead. Your strategy here is to re-raise, isolate and not let him draw out. That means over-betting the pot against maniacs. Again, your poker calculator is just not going to agree with this strategy here. Surviving against such players means you have to create certain aggressive opportunities or they will just simply take you down hand by hand.

Another important time to exercise your own judgment over your poker calculator is when you have a huge lead or big chip stack in comparison to your opponents. In such a scenario when you have someone out chipped like 5 or 6 to 1, it is imperative you make underdog calls that normally are a fold situation. With rising blinds, short stacks will be going in with a wide variety of hands so except for dominated Ace-X hole cards, you should be looking to get them all in. You won’t win them all, but if you win one of three situations you are still the table captain.

When I get down to heads up and 1st and 2nd place is on the line, I am quite aggressive with pre-flop raises with a wide variety of hands. I want to train my opponent into frustration. I will lay down to a re-raise but I want to set him up for an all-in where I am favored. In this, you must consistently raise, in particular from the button, holding MOST hole card combinations. If your odds calculator could scream at you, it would be doing so at this stage. Really, this is a time to turn it off, and play an aggressive mental game here. You have to go for the win here, and aim to be the favorite. Blinds are huge so take them when you can.

Ok, you’ve made it to the money but find yourself in 3rd place. Yes, it’s a profit, but turning this spot into win money is a crucial skill for making your overall profit rate of sit and gos really take off. In saying that, aggression is the key. I look for any cards with chemistry, Ace -X suited, two face cards, 97s, etc., any pp for example, and I am all-in forcing the others to make a tough decision. Your poker odds calculator simply won’t understand this strategy so just turn the thing off, otherwise you will be blinded out 19 of 20 times while following its recommendations. You see the difference between 2nd and 3rd is minimal, so don’t be concerned about that. What you want to be able to accomplish with this aggression is to get into 1st place at least one out of every three times you are in this scenario. That will ensure a profitable overall sit and go strategy for you while using your online poker odds calculator to get you into that position.

Why 6 to 5 Blackjack Sucks

Why 6 to 5 Blackjack Sucks
- by Jean De Plume

6 to 5 blackjack is the same as any other game of blackjack, that is to say that games of 6 to 5 blackjack have the same rule variations as ordinary blackjack, except that when you play 6 to 5 blackjack the payout for a natural blackjack is 6 to 5 instead of the usual 3 to 2.

To some people this might seem like a better deal. The numbers 6 and 5 are bigger than 3 and 2, so that means you get more money if you win right? Wrong! With 6 to 5 payout odds you get £6 for every £5 you bet. So if you bet £10 with the original 3 to 2 payout you’d win £15, but with the 6 to 5 payout you only win £12. This policy will put a serious dent in the player’s bankroll over many hands of play. In standard blackjack a good player would expect to lose an average of £2.60 per 100 hands assuming he bets an average £10 per hand. The reduced payout on 6 to 5 blackjack means the same player would expect to lose more than £14 over the same 100 hands.

Effectively 6 to 5 blackjack seriously reduces the chances of a player having a lucky run and winning a profit. In fact a player would have to be extremely lucky just to break even. Many blackjack enthusiasts have spoken out against 6 to 5 blackjack saying that natural blackjacks have to payout at 3 to 2 otherwise the player doesn’t have a fair shot at winning.

They also warn that if 6 to 5 blackjack becomes standard in casinos then people will lose interest in blackjack and possibly table games in casinos altogether. They say that a 6 to 5 payout on blackjack makes the game inherently unfair, and as customers begin to realise that the casinos are ripping them off they will leave in droves.

There wasn’t an immediate backlash against 6 to 5 blackjack because, it is alleged, most casual players don’t understand just how much this change affects their chances of winning. When they realise that they’re losing money five times faster than at standard games of blackjack they will start to leave.

The other problem is that many casinos, especially casinos in Las Vegas, have been hyping 6 to 5 blackjack as if it were better for the players. It has been seen advertised as a “whopping 6 to 5 payout” as if 6 to 5 was better than 3 to 2. Certainly the numbers are bigger but that’s all that is! It is often found that casinos will advertise the game as ’single deck blackjack’, which at 3 to 2 payout rates is good for the player (especially the card counters), but the 6 to 5 payout is in tiny writing. As players wise up to these tactics it is said that their confidence in casinos will drop and that could be very damaging for the whole industry.

If it hasn’t been made clear already, steer well clear of any game of blackjack offering only 6 to 5 payouts on natural blackjacks. You’ll lose money faster than if you’d cut holes in your pockets! And losing money quickly in a game that you’ve not much chance at winning is no fun at all.

Roulette Strategy: Learn How to Beat the Casinos

Roulette Strategy: Learn How to Beat the Casinos
- by Jean De Plume

Anyone who has ever had the chance to play roulette will know by now that roulette is purely a game of chance. There is no skill involved in the game at all. Although there are a number of different options for betting on roulette, the average payout is the same no matter what option you choose. However, there are a number of roulette betting strategies that people have employed over the years.

The most widely employed roulette betting strategies are variations on the Martingale betting strategy. In basic terms this strategy involves making even money bets and doubling your bet each time you lose. This way the next time you win you’ll recover all your losses and make a profit equal to the original bet. While you can make a short term profit, this system can only result in loss in the long term. After only five consecutive losses your bet would have to be 36 times your original bet. Lose again and it would be 72 times. As you can see you can quickly end up in deep water. Also the potential winnings are not high in this system. For instance, if your original bet was £10 and you lose five times in a row you’d have to bet £360 on the sixth spin of the wheel. If you win you’ve only made £10 profit. If you lose then you’ll have to bet £720 on the next spin and you’d still only make £10.

Another method, described by an editor of the New York Times, Andres Martinez, is to divide your bankroll in to 35 piles. Then make a ’straight up’ bet on the same number 35 consecutive times. If your number hits then you win back your original bankroll. If your number doesn’t come up then too bad. It can take a long time to spin the wheel 35 times and this method can be a lot of fun. You might get some odd looks at first but it won’t be long before other players are putting bets on your number. The cheer that will go up if the number hits will raise the roof. Unfortunately there is only about a 60% chance of any one particular number coming up in 35 spins of the roulette wheel. It’s a good way to have fun but a bad way to win money.

Albert Einstein apparently said, “You can’t beat a roulette table unless you steal money from it.” However, there have been a handful of roulette players throughout history that have beaten the game with a system that works regularly. The systems that they used are based on the fact that roulette tables are not perfect and minor deviations in the angle it tilts or if it becomes slightly unbalanced can effect where the ball lands. This means that on certain roulette tables the ball is slightly more likely to land in come pockets than others. If you can work out which numbers these are then you might have a slight edge. Unfortunately most casinos have wised up to this and re-balance their wheels frequently.

Perhaps the first person to do this successfully was an Englishman called Joseph Jagger who hired six people to secretly monitor the roulette wheels at the Beaux-Arts in Monte Carlo in 1873. They watched for about two years and discovered that one of the tables showed a clear bias in that some of the numbers came up more frequently than the rest. Jagger placed his bets accordingly and allegedly won US$300,000 in three days.

The casino tried to throw him by relocating the wheels, but when Jagger noticed that a telltale scratch on his favoured roulette wheel was not present on the table that now occupied its place he sought it out. He found it and began winning again. In the end the casino resorted to dismantling the wheels and rebuilding them every day. By this time Jagger had won an absolute fortune and left Monte Carlo for good. The story goes that Jagger invested his winnings in property and died a very wealthy man.

How to Win at an Internet Casino!

How to Win at an Internet Casino!
- by Brian James

The basic premise is simple: You deposit money in an Internet casino account. Let’s say it’s $100. Because you are a new customer, the casino adds a “bonus” of an extra $100, so your account now reads $200. Hey, that’s great! Let’s cash out now!

Yeah, right… It’s not quite that simple…

You can’t withdraw your funds yet. If it was that easy to make $100, the Internet casinos would have all gone broke long ago. The casino requires you play a certain amount before you can withdraw your funds. We call this the wagering requirement.

How much do they require you to wager? You look at the casino’s Terms and Conditions, which you’ll find from a link on their home page or promotions page, and you see that at this particular casino you have to wager five times the amount of your deposit and the bonus money combined. Then you can withdraw any amount of your deposit and bonus that’s left, plus any winnings from your play.

That wagering requirement will be strictly enforced. If you withdraw any funds prior to meeting this requirement, the Terms and Conditions may specify that you will lose the full amount of the bonus and any winnings from your play. (Some Internet casinos won’t allow any withdrawal of funds before meeting your wagering requirement–not even of your original deposit.)

So, you multiply your $200 (your deposit plus bonus) times five, and you realize that you must wager $1000 before you get to keep any amount of the bonus that’s left after this gambling, plus any winnings you have during this play. You may wager this $1000 any way you want. You may place ten $100 bets, or two hundred $5 bets, or a thousand $1 bets, whatever you prefer, so long as you put a total of $1000 into action.

Is this a good deal?

Yes, it’s a very good deal since this casino allows you to play their 6-deck blackjack games, where the house advantage is only one-half of one percent (0.50%) over a basic strategy player. And you know basic strategy! (If you don’t know basic strategy, you can follow the Correct Blackjack Basic Strategy on a Wagering Requirement Chart available at Blackjack Forum Online.)

Or they let you play video poker or Pontoon, with a similarly low house edge. Or the bonus is enough to cover the house edge on a variety of other games of your choice.

You pull out your calculator and quickly determine that one-half of one percent of $1000 is only $5. That means that if you play perfect basic strategy until you’ve given them a total of $1000 of action, you would expect to still have $195 remaining, for a $95 profit on your $100 investment! Not bad!

http://www.bestbonusonlinecasino.com

So, you play through your $1000 in action at their blackjack tables, but unfortunately, you have a bad run of cards, and you wind up with only $165 in your account at the end of your play session. Well, a $65 profit is at least a profit, and you know that in the next casino you may have a good run of cards, leaving you with more than your $95 expectation. In the long run, you’ll sometimes win more than your expectation, and sometimes less, but for every time you play a bonus like this, you’ll average a $95 profit.

That, in a nutshell, is how it works. The bonus money that the Internet casinos give to new players is worth more than the cost of meeting their wagering requirements.

How to Win at any Online Casino!

How to Win at any Online Casino!
- by Brian James

Know the games that you are playing.

It’s a proven fact that the player with the most knowledge has the best luck. Never jump into a game until you’ve first observed and learned how to play it. Research the games you are going to play online, and at any time you are playing, don’t be afraid to ask the dealer to explain anything you don’t understand.

Never Consume alcohol and play.

One of the casinos chief weapons used to get you to spend more money is by offering their players free drinks. Drinking alcohol impairs your judgment and thinking process, and while gambling you’ve got to use your head in order to win.

Don’t throw your money away.

Before you step out the door of your house headed to the casino, set a limit on how much money you’re going to spend and then stick with it. Too many gamblers burn a hole though their wallets and end up going over their spending limit only to lose more money. While we’re on the topic of managing your bank roll, remember to save the money you win, don’t re-spend it any of your winnings! Don’t become over-confident.

The very worst thing that can happen to a novice gambler is to win too big too fast. If you do start winning big, don’t throw your caution to the wind, figuring your on a roll. When you start to win big, be sure to maintain your caution and gamble with your head, not your emotions. Know when to quit. Don’t get greedy!!! This is what separates every gambler from his money! When you are ahead, take your profits! When you are behind, take your losses. Staying ensures that the odds are in the house’s favor and that the money will be out of your pocket! This is the single-most reason for losing!

How to find a Safe and Secure Online Casino with a Legitimate Bonus

How to find a Safe and Secure Online Casino with a Legitimate Bonus
- by Brian James

With the “millions” of online casino’s available on the internet, which one is right for you? First, research can serve you well. Before you spend a penny, check to see if your casino has “live” help lines such as an “800″ number that you can call 24 hours a day. Check to see if they have 24 hour online chat support in case you have a technical issue at 2:00 am! Payment methods are important. Do they offer a wide range of options or only one or two? What about legitimate “bonuses”? Do they have outrageous sign up bonuses that you probably will never see? If it sounds too good to be true…Lastly, do they reward you for being a loyal customer? Do you get treated with respect or do they act as though you don’t exist? I will be writing more about these online casino’s in the future, so keep an eye out!

Bingo History

Bingo History
- by Joe Boggs

Bingo Conception?

At the minimum, Bingo has been developing for a sliver shy of 5 centuries, tracing back to 1530 in Italy. It was then a “lottery” game called “Lo Giuoco Code Lotto”. By the 1700s you could find it maturing in France where they were using playing cards, tokens and added the reading out of numbers. The 1800s saw bingo widely used in Germany for educational purposes, to teach children spelling, animal names and multiplication tables.

Bingo Makes History in America

At a carnival near Atlanta Georgia in 1929, Beano was being played with dried beans, a rubber stamp and cardboard sheets. Edwin Lowe, was watching this game and noticed how engaged the players were. The Carnival worker had to kick the players out at 3 am. Lowe, took the idea with him to New York where he introduced the game to his friends. He conducted bingo games similar to the ones he had witnessed, using dried beans, a rubber numbering stamp and card board. His friends loved the game. It is said that one of his players made bingo history when he was so excited to have won that he yelled out “Bingo” instead of “Beano.” The Lowe Bingo Game had two versions; the first a 12-card set for $1.00, the second a $2.00 set with 24 cards. Bingo was a wild success. By the 1940s Bingo games were all over the country. Lowe had many competitors and all he asked was that they pay $1.00 a year to conduct the games and of course to use the name Bingo.

Modern Bingo - Still Making History

Today Bingo is a global game, there are an estimated 60 million Bingo Players all over the world and 50,000 Bingo Halls throughout North America and probably more in the UK. Bingo has enjoyed massive growth in the UK since the 1960s. Most UK bingo halls sport electronic equipment and a much faster calling pace than American Bingo halls.

Welcome to the next page in Bingo history!

The fastest growing bingo market; however, is online bingo. Online bingo players enjoy the convenience and large jackpots that online bingo sites offer. Top payout has already reached $1.96 million! by such Online Bingo Rooms as the renowned Golden Palace Bingo or Chit Chat Bingo from the UK

The Difference between Large Online Casino Bonuses and Small Online Casino Bonuses

The Difference between Large Online Casino Bonuses and Small Online Casino Bonuses
- by Brian James

Have you found that with all the different Online Casino Bonuses being offered, it is extremely confusing to figure out which bonus is right for you? There are bonuses that are upwards of 400 to 800 % of your initial online casino deposit. These are great if you want to play longer and don’t really care about winning because you WON’T be able to cash this bonus out! That’s right! This “bonus” is NOT for cashing out. Taking a smaller, but “cashable” bonus is the way to go for those that are more savvy at online gambling. You can make your “pop” and cash out with your winnings and your bonus! Just remember, the longer you stay at the online casino, the greater the chance you have of leaving the casino broke! So, as a rule of thumb, the higher the bonus, the less chance you have of being able to cash this out. The lower the bonus, the greater chance of cashing out with the bonus. The highest bonuses are really just for allowing the player play for longer periods of time. It is highly unlikely that this type of player will ever win anything of substance. This high bonus is designed by the casino’s for exactly this reason! All they have to do is say “No Cash Out” and they could make the bonus $5000 dollars. What do they care? They’re not losing anything because the more time you spend in the casino, the higher the probability that you will lose! So, now they are coming out with bonuses that really do help you win more, quickly. These are the 10% add-on bonus, or 20% add-on bonus with no restrictions when it comes to cashing out. These bonuses are for people who know how to play the games, know the games’ nuances and want to make a quick hit and cash out. That old addage not to get greedy rings loud and clear! You can really make nice percentage profits with these kinds of bonuses. You can make more money, more consistantly with Online Casino’s than you ever will with Las Vegas style casinos-period! The odds for payouts in Online Casino’s blow regular casino’s away every day of the week and twice on Sunday! The bottom line here is that it is very important that you read the fine print very carefully on each and every one of these bonuses to see if they can be cashed out or not. Like the old saying goes, “If it sounds too good to be true…” then it probably is. I hope that this helps you when you choose your next bonus! I will be back with more internet gambling articles!

How to be a Responsible Gambler: Know the Pros & Cons of Gambling & Follow Simple Rules?

How to be a Responsible Gambler: Know the Pros & Cons of Gambling & Follow Simple Rules?
- by Nazir Hussain

The term “online poker” in Google’s browser produced a staggering 82.2 million sites, links and resources to help you play poker online. Enticing comments, invitations and even incentives to attract would be poker players as follows:-

” Online poker rooms also allow the players to play for very low stakes (as low as … Another important change results from the fact that online poker rooms ”

” Get up to $100 FREE play over 170 exciting casino games ”

These people offer incentives for you to try your hand at poker and to win you over hopefully for a long time.

” Poker Trainer texas holdem training net learn to play like the pro’s with our free software training tool ”

In Las Vegas Casino companies offer free hotel rooms in the heart of what is known as the gambling capital of the world. Why? Because gambling is big money making business. The major reason for these incentives is because the house always wins in 9 out of 10 cases. The incident of house losing is very rare and on odd occasions that the house loses. The loss is invariably a very small percentage of its total income and is therefore negligible. In fact, some clever marketers will exploit the winnings to its advantage to attract even more players.

Online gambling by contrast has opened up the market for all participants in the market place; the gamblers and the those companies offering gambling services or facilitating gambling. For gamblers:-

1)Access to the internet is their way into a casino to start playing a game.

2)Can play 24/7 if they choose to.

3)Can deposit their stake money into their respective account using a credit/debit card or use card offered by the casino operator.

4)Don’t have to travel anywhere to place a bet. They can play a game on an online casino from the comfort of their home or their arm chair.

5)Don’t have to put up with smoking related pollution.

6)In real casinos tipping the croupiers as well as the drinks suppliers is norm. Whereas when one is at home and gambling via the internet these are non-issues.

The gambler gets additional benefits of bonuses and other credits to stay online and play. But, there is a downside to online gambling. The downside of online gambling is largely to do with industry not being regulated. And, the common and annoying problems gamblers face are:-

1)Cashing in winnings. It is not unreasonable to assume getting your winnings paid into your account when you cash out. Reality is that getting your winnings paid into your account can take a long time; as long as 3 to 4 weeks. Regular winners face even more subtle problems as a customer with a lot of online operators.

2)Poor customer service. In case you have queries and questions to put to your online casino operator, responses can take a long time. Since these operators are not rated for their customer service performance you have no idea in advance of their reputation in the market place. As a result, you take pot luck.

3)How do you resolve disputes? The player really does not have an arbitrator to turn to should a dispute arise. In fact, the casino operator can make up rules as he goes along usually to the disadvantage of its own customers and to the detriment of its business. Even.

4)Imagine playing games at a number of different online casinos. How do you keep control of your expenses or spend? It is rather difficult as amounts will appear on your statements without information as to where the credit came from or to whom an amount was paid. This is a big problem if you don’t keep manual records as well as you go along rather like writing a daily diary.

Finally, online gambling is a booming industry with online businesses being snapped up for million of dollars. Because these businesses are big money makers and therefore seen as cash cows, you can what the attraction is. But as a gambler you must bear in mind the pros and cons of gambling. Responsible gambling is advised:-

1)Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Set aside $100 per month for gambling and use that money and only that.

2)Get help if gambling is starting to take over your life.

3)Talk to your partner before gambling issues start to affect other parts of your personal life.

4)Put your family first before gambling and always.

Gamble a little, have fun, don’t neglect your duties and live a lot!.

How to Play Online Casino Safely

How to Play Online Casino Safely
- by Natalie Aranda

There is nothing more exciting than betting on the World Cup online, melting gambling odds with soccer passion, and feeling like being on the football field. The 2006 World Cup betting is already up in most gambling sites with sportsbook betting, however, many people have a safety concerns when it comes to placing a bet on the Internet.

Not only related to world cup soccer betting, but all gambling activities, including casinos, sportsbook, horse racing brokers, etc., any place could be considered “suspicious” until a well founded evidence demonstrates the contrary. This way, it is not odd to do research first, not only, to pick the best World Cup betting site, but also to find feedback, reviews or backgrounds of a gambling site.

It is really easy to find “evidence” by doing research online, with the aid of the many search engines on the Internet. Visit the sites and if they have downloadable world cup soccer betting software, give it a try, play for free.

If you feel comfortable with the site’s features, go ahead and read the terms and other gambling related stuff. For World Cup betting it is more likely to find slight variations on terms or bet limits. Carefully watch while playing for free to see if you have an opportunity to win real money to open your account, or receive a bonus to get started betting.

There are actually as many gambling sites offering 2006 World Cup betting, as players online to communicate with and get some feedback regarding the particular site or sites that you have chosen for world cup soccer betting. Whether via email, instant messenger, messages boards or even by phone, shared experiences are available to you.

Also spread through the grapevine, word of mouth is another useful aid when it comes to selecting the best World Cup betting site. As important as learning more of a site’s history, is to ask current players if your chosen sites make payments on time and the means used to cash out, before you put your money into any of the sites.

Double check how long a gambling site has been online, because the actual soccer fervor may be the foundation for improved sites trying to make some money with 2006 World Cup betting to later disappear in thin air without ever paying the winners.

Be aware of players conspiring with each other promoting the magnificent of dubious World Cup betting sites or deals related to world cup soccer betting that do not appear expressly on the site. Remember that most gambling sites have a customer support service to talk with and get responses to your questions and also investigate and denounce mischievous offers.

10 Golden Gambling Rules to Avoid Addiction & Other Gambling Related Problems.

10 Golden Gambling Rules to Avoid Addiction & Other Gambling Related Problems.
- by Nazir Hussain

6 of one and half a dozen of others. There is an argument that gambling is no different than drinking. It is only safe as long as you follow some simple rules. The safe and responsible gambling rules are:-

1)Devise a set of rules for you to follow. Write these down in a little book to remind you if you ever forget. 2)Follow your rules to the letter with discipline and professionalism. By sticking to your rules you will enjoy the experience of gambling time and time again.

3)Always start with a fixed amount of stake money in cash say $50 and never ever increase that amount. If you decide on a figure of $50 for your stake money then that amount become your starting stake money every time you gamble. Changing amounts to say a higher or lower figure is abiding by own your rules.

4)Fixed your gambling time to 4 hours and that becomes your golden rule. 4 hours is ample time to have fun in casino or even online if you have access to the online casino.

5)If you are on a winning streak you should leave your table when you have made $1,000. There is a tendency to continue gambling because of a lucky day or lucky dice when you are winning every hand for example. Curb your desires and wants to continue and follow your exit rule. If you don’t follow the exit rule you will lose money.

6)Exit rule 1. Leave casino when you have lost your pot money. Whatever that may be; $40, $10 or even $100. This is the strategy that stock market traders use as their golden exit rule and preach to their students; knowing when to get out and then actually doing it.

7)Exit rule 2. Leave casino when your 4 hour gambling time is up. Have a system to follow and follow that system and chances are that you will make money. Anything less rigid, without discipline and ad hoc will actually lose you money. The stock market traders point to their tested and tried heuristics to support these assertions and their theories.

8)Don’t gamble with money you cannot afford to lose. Examples of money you cannot afford to lose are rent money, mortgage instalments, car payments and money needed for food and other household expenses. A sensible and responsible strategy will be to allocate an amount of money for gambling every week or month for your income. If you make $2,000 per two weeks then set aside $100 for gambling and stick to that money only.

9)Never ever borrow money for gambling. In fact, if you feel the urge to borrow money to feed your gambling habit then you should see that as a clear signal of a dangerous habit taking over your life. At this time, seek help before it ruins your life.

10)Don’t accept credit under any circumstances. House may offer you credit because you are good for it. I have often heard this expression. Your spur of the moment decision to accept this offer will prove disastrous. You are getting into a debt situation to continue gambling. This proves that you have no rules to follow and are therefore an easy prey for sharks.

In conclusion, most people get into gambling related problems because they don’t follow a system complimented & augmented by a set of rules. If you devise a system and incorporate rules like the ones suggested in 1 to 10 above, you will enjoy gambling and pre-empt all the nasty side effects associated with the game.

Golden Palace Casino: Boldly Going Where No Online Casino Has Gone Before

Golden Palace Casino: Boldly Going Where No Online Casino Has Gone Before
- by Sage Kalmus

Adding to a long list of unusual eBay listings, actor William Shatner (best known as Captain James T. Kirk on television’s Star Trek) sold the kidney stone he passed back in August 2005 to Golden Palace Casino Online Casino. Golden Palace Casino paid $25,000 for the iconic former Captain of the Starship Enterprise’s organ, the funds promptly rerouted to the charity Habitat For Humanity, which helps build houses for low income families.

Golden Palace Casino has, in the internet gambling world at least, become synonymous with the publicity stunt. This is the same online casino that, in August 2005, paid $1,775 for a pierogi (a polish dumpling) bearing the image of Jesus Christ. Upon winning the item, they proudly added it to their growing (and increasingly notorious) collection of modern oddities.

Other cherished artifacts include: — A Grilled Cheese Sandwich bearing the image of the Virgin Mary ($28,000) — A 1999 Volkswagen Golf that formerly belonged to Pope Benedict XVI — Britney Spears’ pregnancy test (yes, used — yuck) — A metal walking cane that an elderly woman sold in the hopes of convincing her young grandson that his grandfather’s ghost would once and for all leave their house along with it ($65,000).

In early December 2005, the online casino purchased Babe Ruth’s allegedly corked baseball bat from Lelands.com for $103,631. Now, according to Golden Palace Casino CEO Richard Rowe, they intend to saw the bat in half and resolve the long batted-around controversy once and for all. Golden Palace Casino is even proud holder of the only known property deed to the White House — yes, the actual home of the President of the United States. Won in an auction on eBid.tv in September 2005, this Quitclaim deed to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C was also one of the least expensive items the Golden Palace Casino “museum” managed to get its hands on, costing only $43.45.

Golden Palace Casino has even paid to have its name appear in upcoming releases by famous novelists such as Hugo and Nebula award-winning science fiction writer David Brin (The Postman, the River of Time Anthology) to whom they paid $2,250 for the honor. Dave Eggers, bestselling author of A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, got $5,471.78 from them for a cameo appearance in his forthcoming novel, The Journey of the Fishes Overland. As with most all of Golden Palace Casino Online Casino’s unique advertising expenditures, all proceeds from this exchange will be donated to charity; in these two cases, it’s the First Amendment Project, a free speech charity.

Amassing an increasingly bizarre collection of modern oddities isn’t the only publicity stunt this online casino is engaged in. Golden Palace Casino:

– Continues to pay out thousands of dollars to individuals to tattoo the Golden Palace Casino logo on various parts of their subjects’ bodies.

– Employs a growing pool of brave and shameless souls to interrupt public sporting events by running naked across the arena with the online casino’s logo and URL emblazoned on their flesh. Folks like Mark Roberts (whose rear end is now more famous than his face could ever have been) have streaked the French and British and US Opens, the World Swimming Championships, the UEFA Cup finals, Ladies’ Day at the Royal Ascot, the World Figure Skating Championship, the 2004 Summer Olympics in Greece, Super Bowl XXXVIII, and run with the Bulls in Spain — all in the name of good, wholesome, online casino gambling.

– Sponsored Dennis Rodman’s car in the Bullrun USA 2005, a race that matches the exact route of the Cannonball Run in the 1981 Burt Reynolds movie of the same name.

– Sponsored a rowboat team that attempted a 3,000-mile crossing of the Atlantic.

The crew at Golden Palace Casino certainly knows how to draw attention to themselves. And there’s no argument, they know how to raise money for charity!
